How to Master Naps on the Go for your Baby
Everything in life is about balance and when we have children, we may sometimes feel more restricted than we used to be. Whilst I am an advocate of a regular nap routine, in a wonderful environment at home in their cot, it’s absolutely essential that you introduce flexibility into your day! You and your baby will feel all the better for it.

Protect your child’s sleep by avoiding forums and Dr Google
It’s no secret that the topic of sleep, or lack of it, is probably one of the most popular talking points amongst our mummy groups. Whilst changing a diaper, feeding or entertaining your baby, you might be chatting away about why your baby might be waking up all night. Your friend in good faith might offer a few suggestions about what worked for her, however I would always stop and think before taking any action, especially if they advise something as significant as “drop the nap!” or “let them cry it out”.

Tired of early morning wake ups?
Early morning wake ups are one of the most common problems that parents face with young children. It’s interesting to discover that most parents in this situation begin to simply accept it as part of their child’s nature, or assume that they are just early risers because this is what kids do. There is still hope and if you are in this situation, you might be interested to learn that there will be a reason behind this behaviour. That means there are changes you can make to help encourage a later wake up time and it just requires a bit of figuring out.

Why routines are so important and actually create more flexibility
The word ‘routine’ can be off putting for the ‘go with the flow’ style family, however I’m a firm believer and advocate of a predictable schedule for young children. A regular routine ensures that they are reaching the correct amount of sleep for their age, avoiding over tiredness and fulfilling their developmental potential.
